Japanese language school

One of my concerns is how to build my daughter's Japanese proficiency. So we live in Canada, I don't think learning Japanese is the most important thing for her. If she has time to study Japanese, I'd like her to study math or science more. However, I just want to give her a chance to learn her own language. She has been taking Japanese class for this scholastic year. But I beleive, we can do much better in some other way. I think it's time to stop attending that school.
